Diary #4 – 12nd August 2025

I woke up at 4 a.m. While heading to the bathroom, I found a mess where one of the cats had thrown up, so I cleaned it.
Then the other cat started pacing around my bed… and, as expected, threw up too.
By then I was fully awake, so I went out for a jog a little after 5.

From 8 a.m., I worked on my self-employment tasks.
Still feeling sleepy.

Today I focused on preparing for post-retirement income—organizing monetization ideas and looking into AI tools for slide creation.
ChatGPT seems great for structuring ideas, while Gamma works well for turning them into slides.

I also updated my income and expense forecasts for after retirement.
No major worries—looks like I can take my time getting ready for semi-retirement.

Breakfast was a sandwich made from last night’s leftover vegetable fritter, with lettuce and tartar sauce. Tasty and nice-looking.

For lunch, I had nameko mushroom pasta. The leftover fritter made its way into an omelet filling.

Dinner was bitter melon stir-fry and simmered daikon radish.
I’d prepped the simmered dish at lunchtime, so the flavors had soaked in beautifully.

AI tools make things efficient, but I sometimes feel that too much efficiency can strip away my personal touch.
When something is over-edited, it starts to lose that handmade feeling.

During my jog, around the 5 km mark, my hands and feet started tingling a bit.
