Diary #3 – 11th August 2025

I finally finished outlining my Kindle book, Building Wealth as a Family.
Next, I’ll look into the details—like which file format I need to prepare for publishing.

For breakfast, I had the sourdough I baked yesterday, topped with cookie cream and peanut butter.

At lunch, we went out for sushi restaurant as a family.
The bill came to 9,500 yen—on the pricey side, but it’s worth it for the rare chance to enjoy a meal out together.

Dinner was tempura: chicken tempura and vegetable fritters.
I tried to make the fritters extra crispy, but they ended up a little overcooked.
Tempura is trickier than it looks.
Chicken tempura, on the other hand, is versatile—you can serve it over rice for tendon or tuck it into bread with tartar sauce for a sandwich-style treat.

Lately, I’ve been struggling to balance work and rest.
If I don’t devote the whole day to housework or my business, I feel unproductive, but if I focus only on business, I don’t feel relaxed enough.
No need to rush—trial and error will help me find the right pace for myself.

Whenever the cat scratches or bites me, the area swells and turns red.
I guess there must be some bacteria on its claws or teeth that’s too harsh for my skin.
Since there’s no fever, I consider it mild, but I make sure to wash it immediately and apply steroid ointment.

Today was my day off.
I often wake up early out of excitement, but this morning I managed to get a full eight hours of sleep—what a luxury.
